It's a simple question: does your elected representative/candidate work for you, or for campaign donors. It's time to take money out of elections.
ReyesSoft's app on the iTunes App Store, ProgressivePortal, gives liberals, progressives, moderates, and Democrats a way to fight back and become active.
With the ability to access over 200 political, economic, governmental, environmental, civil and human rights groups and organizations, as well as political commentators, print, radio, and TV media sources, this app provides ways for you to become pollitically active and organized in support of your favorite causes.

Issues are extremely important in all elections, but now they are more important than ever before. That is why Progressive Portal includes major sections on labor, women's rights, civil rights, the environment, and economics.
Finally, since politics affects everyone, it is simply not enough just to vote every 2 or 4 years. Some corporations, and the 1%, often spend more money lobbying elected officials than they ever pay in taxes. While politicians claim that they respond to voters, their actions say otherwise. When the majority of voters (including Republicans) said they wanted to increase taxes on the wealthy to pay for jobs programs or infrastructure repairs, not one tax increase ever passed the House under Republican leadership. While Congress may have an approval rating of less than 15%, voters seem to re-elect the same representatives they disapprove of. This economy could have been fixed several years ago, but as we have seen time and time again, the Republican Party has blocked attempt to ever fix it -- they have put politics above the welfare of the county and it's citizens, in order to win the presidency and more House and Senate seats in the 2012 election.
But all of this doesn't have to be this way. That is why Progressive Portal has included as its central section, "Get Active." With backing from monied interests, the Tea Party has gotten its message out, but the progressive movement has been less effective.
Starting with the election countdown, with the ability to find out who is donating to the various candidates; whether the candidates are telling you the truth or not; finding and reporting progressive events; keeping track of all the Senate races and the top House races, as well a section called "Get Active" where you can find out how to become a political activist, instead of just sitting on the sidelines.
